Māpunawai exists to bridge the digital divide and build economic opportunities for Hawaii residents through programs that
1) Address digital equity (i.e. providing devices, skills development, and broadband internet access)
2) Provide training that teach people how to build and grow online business leveraging the internet for economic opportunities.

Ka’ala has long been at the forefront of “the future of work” and digital equity in Hawaii. He has personally taught and distributed free computers to over 1,600 people all over the state.
Ka’ala is the founder of Digital Ready Hawaii also runs Ka’ala Souza Training & Consulting.

Andy is the founder, CEO, and driving force behind WealthFit. He has a passion for financial education and a gift for teaching in a way that’s simple, fun, and inspiring.
Prior to founding WealthFit, Andy started and sold 3 tech companies and built a diverse investment portfolio.

Thomas has turned his passion for helping the people of Hawaii into a career after getting his Masters Of Science from the University of Hawai‘i – Shidler College of Business.
He also currently sits on the Board of The Malama Molokai foundation.

Leesa is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has experience in pulmonology and sleep medicine. She has over 30 years of medical experience. During the pandemic she had extensive experience in telemedicine and became an advocate for people to successfully navigate the challenges of telemedicine.
Computer Instructor
Micah holds a Bachelorʻs of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Hawaii.
Heʻs a cryptocurrency miner, entrepreneur, and freelance writer. As a writer, he focuses mostly on cryptocurrency, machine learning, and economic philosophy.

Amber holds a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, a Masters in Public Health with a specialization in Health Policy and Management, has had 5 years of experience with mentoring and tutoring through the Supplemental Instruction program through WCC.

Isaia is the head trainer for the Mapunawai FBA entrepreneurship program. He has built and sold multiple physical product brands and continues to do so today. As a digital literacy instructor he has been teaching classes in Hawaii since 2022
